We know almost to a certainty that, over the
last
24 hours,
approximately 32 million people uttered pretty much the same sentiment
upon seeing that Drudge news item. That's a lot of "prayers"—after a fashion—sent
yonder into the ether.
Slightly off topic but, had anybody noted the passing of Helen Thomas??? Ding dong the witch is dead, which ol witch, the wicked witch, ding dong the wicked witch is dead!!!!! The Drudge link has comments on the UPI story that sum it up rather well. One fav was "Hillary will now be the ugliest woman in the room"!
I know, I will go to hell but, this bitch deserves no mercy or pity. Bolivar
I think it would be interesting if Drudge posted nothing but Black on White murders and assaults for the month of August. I don't believe he'd run out of stories. He could even dip into what is happening in South Africa just for a little international flavor.
While I don't think much of him Tom Petty had a song that he did without the Heart breakers backing him up. It was called "I won't back down." It just needs some one with a decent voice to cover it. I think it or something like it would make a good theme for the 2014 election campaign.
If he'd have told it all, when he referred to reactions to approaching black men...clicking of locking doors...women clutching purses tighter, etc, he'd have also stated that those fearful people are likely to be black just as often as they are white. Black people are scared to death of these young black men they just don't want to admit it. I guess it is far more satisfying to pretend these black "youths" are just innocent teens, and all white people are stalking them with murder in their hearts. I call that Black racism, and it's the main reason that race relations in this country are likely to NEVER improve.
Helen Thomas is really dead, not just looking like it. Why'd it take these many years?
As for people locking doors or clutching purses tighter, it has nothing to do with race. I'm white and I've seen people react that way to me when I was younger. Even to the point of turning around & walking the other way. Heck, I'm the sweetest guy around. It has everything to do with their fears, real or imagined. I'm sorry it affected them so. Nothing I could do about that.
