Romney 2016! WTF!
“
Remember that parallel
universe where Al Gore is President of the United States; Elvis
Presley is still alive; O.J. Simpson is NFL commissioner and
Barack Obama has an American birth certificate?
Yeah Romney is looking better than Obama, but so does Jose my apartment maintenance guy. The fact that he wasn't born in the US and can barely speak English shouldn't be a problem, that's what teleprompters and forgers are for. The only problem is he won't try to pass as gay, he said it would upset his wife and kid if he did that. Nominate the candidate that the Democrats are hating hardest. Looks like Scott of Wisconsin and Jindal of Louisiana.
Why do the good people in New Hampshire hate us so?
That's a fair question, Iri. And one I feel qualified to answer. Consider comparative geography.
Today in Sarasota, we have sunshine with puffy clouds drifting quietly across the sky. Both the air and sea temperature are 83º. Plumbing in the sand is delivering over 100º water at the beach shower. Florida Power & Light thinks we're dead because everything that draws more than a few amps will be switched off for months. This is a place where anyone can still thrive on nothing other than what can be hooked, speared, or netted, and cooked under the stars throughout the year.
Contrast these conditions with NH: A stony forlorn land, with the worst weather in the Western Hemisphere, sandwiched between the hellholes of Canada and Massachusetts. It would be considered depleted if there had ever been anything of value there. Outdoor living is impractical for 10 months of the year. The only reason it was ever settled was to support travel between Boston and Montreal. Now these are places avoided even by illegal immigrants.
Why should we expect people to choose what's best for America when they clearly have no capacity to choose what's best for themselves?
Helly, My wife and I grew up in north central Montana, about 35 miles from the Canadian border. In the winter of 1948-49, the temperature went down to -52 deg. at night, then warmed up during the days to -30 deg. This went on for about 3 weeks. And the wind never quitw. We usually got about 3 to 4 feet of snow, but it all went to North Dakota. I keep telling my wife that it is a great place to be from - a long way from.

At one time, polls were semi useful. Now, they're crap made up by people that can only describe their careers as useless.
ReplyDeleteTo borrow from Walter, picking him again would be like checking the trash to see if the milk you through out got better.

The GOP are desperate to short circuit any "Teaparty" favored ticket. I think f you look deeper, Bob Dole is also on the "Push This Guy" list.

Helly! That was awesome! Ditto Iowa. Lived there 4 years going to college. It's brutal.
