 Here's
the real question. Why? Why now? Obama knew that by
giving congress a 30 minute heads-up,
instead of the by-law
required 30
days, there would be a firestorm. This was always going
to be
for him a lose-lose political action, and yet he did it anyway.
Why?
I've had stuff swirling about in my minimalist brain, and this is the
best I could come up with.
Obama has
planned a "terrorist action" so devastating that he can use it to
declare martial law- a total lock down- and rule imperiously. I
mean
more imperiously than usual. A glitch of some kind developed, and
his
al-Qaeda benefactors desperately needed leadership from the likes of
the Gitmo
Dream Team.
The pretext, also suggested by his "advisors," was a swap for Taliban captive, Sgt.
Bowe Bergdahl. It's likely that Obama did not anticipate that
Bergdahl's back story of treason and desertion would be noticed, if he
even knew himself. Gird-up!
By the by, here's the
most precious (and oh-so telling) thing in the aftermath. Sen.
Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) warned
Wednesday that Republican lawmakers would call for President Obama’s
impeachment if he released more prisoners from Guantanamo Bay without
congressional approval.

ReplyDeleteForget it because it ain't gonna happen. Not with the gutless wonders that make up the House of Non-Representatives in Congress today. And that is without even mentioning Dirty Harry Reid, dictator of the Senate who probably would not even allow a vote for for against if it ever got to the Senate. Why? Because if The Ayatollah Obama (may his grave be forever shit upon by pigs) turned around quickly, Reid would get his neck broken. As, of course, would Pinocchio Pelosi.

ReplyDeleteI would rather they just hold their collective breath and stomp their feet. Then we could have some satisfaction from Washington when they pass out and are unable to say stupid things for at least a little while.
ReplyDeleteAlso, have you considered that the "accidental" revelation of the Afghanistan CIA station chief was the signal Obama was ready to go with the prisoner exchange and whatever else is coming down the pike? I have, and I fear the consequences.
