In a statement this morning, (Chicago mayor) Emanuel said he would look
for other possible names.
“Over the last few months,
my
team has listened to questions and concerns from the community, ranging
from location of the building to the naming of the school. We take that
community input seriously, which is why – as we continue to look for a
thoughtful way to honor President Obama – we will look for other
possible names for this future school," Emanuel said in a statement.
The
Tribune story dances around the reason for his decision to dis
Obama. The original Drudge link was more succinct:
The walkaway moment, for me anyway, is this
ridiculous posturing by Ald. Walter Burnett.

ASIDE: The term "racist" has always
seemed awkward in describing the Left's use of it within today's political
construct. A better term I think is "Racialist."
bigot - a prejudiced person who is intolerant of any opinions differing from his own
Racialist
it is then, from here on. Unless, of course, we're talking about
people like Obama and Eric Holder, of whom it may be said, have "a prejudiced belief that one race is
superior to others." They are, then, "racists."
Wait. Come to think of it, since Liberals automatically look at a person's race before their second thought, all Liberals have a dual profile of racist and racialist. Thank you. |

Runner up names: "Zippy the Pinhead" and "Pee Wee Herman"
ReplyDeleteIf you think about it naming a high school of achievers after Obama is really an oxymoron. Naming a South Side high school full of kids who have no idea what's going on would be more in line with its proposed namesake.
ReplyDeleteI would not name a pet cockroach after The Ayatollah Obama. Why insult cockroaches like that?
