The most dangerous disease

WE'LL TELL YOU HOW DANGEROUS BROCK EBOLA IS ....

WE'LL TELL YOU HOW DANGEROUS EBOLA IS AFTER THE ELECTION

There had never been a case of Ebola in the U.S. until a few months ago. Since then, thousands of people have died of the disease in Africa, and millions upon millions of dollars have been spent treating Ebola patients in the U.S. who acquired it there, one of whom has died.

But the Obama administration refuses to impose a travel ban.

This summer, the U.S. government imposed a travel ban on Israel simply to pressure Prime Minister Netanyahu into accepting a ceasefire agreement. But we can't put a travel restriction on countries where a contagious disease is raging.

... The entire Ebola issue is being discussed -- by our government, not the United Nations -- as if Liberians are indistinguishable from Americans, and U.S. taxpayers should be willing to pay whatever it takes to save them.

Maybe we should give them the vote, too! If Ebola was concentrated in Finland and Norway -- certainly Israel! -- we'd have had a travel ban on Day One.

The Rest

President Lameduck's attorney general
President Obama announced this week that he plans to make a very important decision, but not until after the Nov. 4 election.

We're not referring to the forthcoming executive order changing U.S. immigration policy without congressional input — although Obama has also promised to do that after the election, because the public doesn't yet "understand what the facts are on immigration" as well as he thinks he does.

Nor are we referring to Obama's more recent deferred promise to defy Congress by moving several Guantanamo terrorism detainees so that they can continue to be held indefinitely and without trial or charges in prisons within close proximity to millions of Americans.

No, in this case, Obama is putting off his decision on who will replace the retiring Eric Holder as Attorney General. And as in the other cases noted above, the delay is not encouraging.

When politicians conceal facts and defer important decisions until after voters have had their chance to weigh in, it is usually because they have something to hide from those same voters.

For example, when the Obama administration pressured the inspector general of the Department of Homeland Security to delay until after the 2012 election ...

The list

In the long term, what's been the biggest threat to the United States—hell, the world—Obama or Ebola?  That's right. There was plenty of warning too, but the poseur was allowed to fly aboard Air Force One just the same. It's never too late to fire him.  If he's impeached and removed,  he and Moochie lose their lifetime Secret Service bodyguards and chauffeurs too (???), so there's that.
