scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."

Whistle of Death
BOO!
“
Tommy
Lee Smith found this Aztec
Death Whistle video. Trilby McTip commented on site,
"I make a similar sound when my Mom
forgets to restock the Doritos."
War chants are meant to impose psychological terror on your enemy; it
would tighten my sphincter. One of the best of this ilk is this
Zulu war
chant from the 1964 film "Zulu" (which is still a 5
star watch).
During the opening battle scene in the movie Gladiator, the Germanic barbarians do the chant from the movie Zulu. Ridley Scott, director of Gladiator, did it as a salute to Zulu.
That Zulu battle depicted in Zulu was at Rorke's Drift, in Natal South Africa. I went there once about 40 years ago, and it's empty, scruffy, big sky country. The original buildings were gone, but you could see the tiny area where the Brits fortified themselves within two little buildings with mealie (corn) sacks and biscuit boxes. I wouldn't want to be those 150 Brits, many already sick and wounded, with single shot rifles and bayonets facing 3000-4000 Zulu warriors. Just hours before, another group of Zulus slaughtered a group of several thousand Brits at Isandlwana, about 40 miles away. The Brits fought the Zulus, often hand to hand, for about 12 hours, losing 15-17 of their own number, until the Zulus withdrew in the wee hours of the night. The British survivors were awarded 11 Victoria Crosses among them. The Harridan becoming POTUS might frighten me more though. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
The Maori Haka is cool, too. However, I think the scariest sound would be that of a company of Abrams main battle tanks comin' atcha just over the rise.
Shriek of the Harpy? Is Hillary on another of her rants again?

ReplyDeleteBefore I clicked on the link, I was going to say that
ReplyDeletenothing would loosen the bowels better than 4,000
screaming Zulu warriors. I was wrong!

Doug, they made me laugh out loud. Reminded me of a Three Stooges skit.
