Looks promising

  1. I just started on my DVR with these. I am not too sure about the precise tracking with real events, nor am I convinced of the speech and attitudes portrayed accurately... but it's very watchable, and I still like it. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief.

  2. I tried to watch, and had to give it up. To me, it comes across like Road Warrior set in 1775.
I think it was produced to appeal to the metrosexual MTV set, what with 3 day stubbles, angry, so-concerned countenances, costumes with out of place leather, buttons and straps, and I half expect those flintlock pistols to fire 6 or 8 times..
    Sorry, not for me.

  3. "The main characters are glamorized. But the essential theme of America’s birth is kept intact...
I found it enjoyable to watch. Yes, they took liberty with modernizing the characters which was kinda neat. Almost at the same time, the AHC channel put out a more historically correct revolution series, www.ahctv.com/tv-shows/the-american-revolution/. BTW, I highly recommend the BBC WW1 movie, the Wipers Times on Netflix.
