Speaking of Minesweeper, when I had Windows 7, I played that and Solitaire all the time. Now with Windows 8 I can't find them. Any idea where I can get them?
Skoonj - On my Win7 pro, it's under I've also copied them from one computer to another on a thumb drive. They didn't seem to need anything but the app - no registry or aux files. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick, barely surviving the ravages of advancing technology
Sorry Skoonj, I'm HTML ignorant and I did something wrong above. In plain English, go to START, go to ALL PROGRAMS,then GAMES and there is a drop down list. My GAMES were initially turned off at installation. Go here to see how to initialize: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/where-games#1TC=windows-7 Hope this helps Lt. Col. Gen. When I got a Win8 tablet, I found that Win7 games won't work without editing the binary. There are instructions, but the tools aren't so easy. I found: Win7GamesForWin8-Setup.exe I was going to post a link, but for some reason didn't save it. You can see it on the third post down: http://www.eightforums.com/gaming/20910-win-7-games-win-8-a.html Works, feels and plays like Win7. -bravokilo

ReplyDeleteSelect the 'gaames' tile Skoonj. They load from there.

Tim, there are a million game titles, but nothing remotely resembles them.

Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick, where under W7P was it? Sounds like the way to go.

Raja, my W8 doesn't have those games listed. I'll be trying with what it was that Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick posted.
ReplyDeleteI found the games on my old computer and used a thumb drive to transfer them. They don't work, but I will research ways to get them to work.
