Old guys do funny things. Long ago and far away in Vermont, where I was laboring in the gatling gun biz, there was a meeting in a darkened room. A process engineer was telling us about some new gizmos for electroplating, and I had to know about it so I could clean up the mess.
At some point in his presentation, he projected a slide of diagrams showing how the vats would fit in the building. When he was done with that, he attempted to present his next page by tearing the projection off the screen. It didn't come off, because now it was on his back. Then he backed away and tried again with more aggressive fingernail clawing. After another frustrated pause, he attacked the screen at a different angle. Since we were all crappy people, nobody rose to help him. Eventually he ran out of steam.
