scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Now THAT is a beautiful poem and a beautiful commercial. The original Paul Harvey poem stands with the work of Robert Frost, and should be required reading in America's schools. And never forget that those farmers and their values are held in ridicule and contempt by the snowflakes, crybabies, celebutards, Obamabots, anarchists, pussyhats, metrosexuals, limousine liberals and all the other assorted scumbags who think the world revolves around THEM.
I watched my 74 year old Grandpa tend 50 head of cows a harvest crew and over a section of alfalfa. I thought he was the hardest working man on earth. Then he retired and I realized, those things, were the only things he loved to do. I truly think he threw the reigns and willed himself to die. -Anymouse with the eye sweats
An old farmer was visited by an agent of his state's Labor Dept., who said "We need to make sure you are in compliance with all the laws regarding working hours and wages."
'Well," replied the farmer, "There's my farmhand who's been with me for 8 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free milk and meat, and gets to live in a house I built for him on my property. He works about 10 hrs. a day and works half days on the weekend. And then there's the half-wit who's been here since the beginning, works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He never gets a day off. He makes about $50 per week, and pays all his own expenses. He lives in the farmhouse and once a week or so he gets to drink a little bourbon and sleep with the farmer's wife."
"That's the guy I want to talk to, the half-wit," says the agent.
