Ready when you are, Mr. DeMille

Hollywood celebrity Chelsea Handler has helped Georgia Democrat Jon Ossoff reach record fundraising levels with her contributions, but she doesn't even know when the election is.

Handler demonstrated this Tuesday when she invited her nearly seven million Twitter followers to get out and vote for Ossoff—even though the election isn't taking place until next week on April 18.

And celebrity? WTF? I've never heard of her. Did she "handle" Charlie Sheen or something?

  2. I've yet to encounter a "Chelsea" who possesses functional neurons other than those required for heartbeat and respiration.

  4. Anonymous-- I really like Blogger's "We'll tell you what you like" attitude.

  5. My rule of thumb: anyone named Chelsea is a mental midget unless proven otherwise.

Looks like it's right once more!

  7. So ... why doesn't this blog template work anymore to solve the comments problem?

    http://looloobumpucker.blogspot.com/

It's out there to view and goes through blogspot and it belongs to Rodger the Real King of France.

  10. Best as my old mind will work, the unanswered question here is: Why does a blog have to be secure?

    What is HTTPS?
HTTPS (‘hypertext transport protocol secure’) is the protocol used for secure data transfer, whereas HTTP refers to the non-secured variant. With HTTP websites, all transferred data can potentially be read or changed by attackers, and users can never really be certain whether their credit card data has been sent to the intended online vendor or a hacker. HTTPS, or SSL, encrypts HTTP data and verifies the authenticity of requests. This process takes place via the SSL certificate or the more sophisticated TLS certificate. Most experts agree that TLS should be used in place of SSL.

No credit cards here and no data transfer. If reality is confronted, the only apparent reason to go secure is because Google ranks secure websites higher. Damn those nose rings!

  11. I agree gadfly, but, once it's done, the system will no longer accept the old code, even if you undo the change. I can put the codes in for the comments to be there, but blogger has that code completely blocked on the main page.

  12. Linda - One last suggestion and then I'll shut up. I stumbled upon the Powr website where they have, of all things, a format to accept Twitter feeds that can be located inside each blog post. So if each post is assigned a hashtag, they would appear with the post - at least that appears to be the case. They have some other stuff too, none of which they say will violate Blogger.

Now that is a real modernization of the comments section.
