Eventually the probe on Flynn moved beyond Russia to questions about
whether he properly disclosed foreign payments affecting his security
clearance.
FBI officials declined to answer any questions from Circa, including
whether McCabe ever considered recusing himself or has recused himself
from the Flynn aspects of the Russia probe. McCabe declined comment via
the FBI press office.

From
the article: “The FBI sought to block Flynn’s support for the agent,
asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn and
others from becoming a witness in her Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission (EEOC) case, memos obtained by Circa show. Two years later,
the FBI opened its inquiry of Flynn. The EEOC case, which is still
pending, was serious enough to require McCabe to submit to a sworn
statement to investigators, the documents show. . .Three FBI employees
told Circa they personally witnessed McCabe make disparaging remarks
about Flynn before and during the time the retired Army general emerged
as a figure in the Russia case. . .FBI agents’ concerns became more
pronounced when a highly-classified piece of evidence — an intercepted
conversation between Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak —
suddenly leaked to the news media and prompted Flynn’s resignation as
Trump’s top security adviser. ‘The Flynn leaks were nothing short of
political,’ one FBI employee said, noting the specific contents of the
conversation were known by only a handful of government officials when
they leaked. ‘The leaks appeared to be targeted to take Flynn out.’. .

Within five minutes of sending this article out, I heard Mark Levin start to talk about it. He was plainly taken aback, and felt it was extremely important. He must have seen it at about the same moment I did, and he had the same reaction.
ReplyDeleteTwo things leap out. First, politically appointed people in the FBI, such as McCabe, have power and use it for personal reasons. They are vile. Not only did he sabotage Flynn for personal reasons, he thought he was cute tying all of it into Trump.
Second, and I've said this before in regard to Comey getting a friend outside the agency to do his leaking for him, the actual special agents of the FBI are honest and honorable, and once we pry the political appointees off their backs they will do their FBI proud.
Amen
ReplyDeleteYou know, maybe what we're seeing here really is the beginning of a "swamp flush." Politicians, political flunkees, stooges and wannabees are being exposed for what they really are. So-called "news" agencies are being shown to be little more than b*tt-sniffing lap dogs for the leftists and socialists who are trying to weaken all the things that America used to stand for. If Pres. Trump accomplishes little more than clearing this cancer away, he will have done more than enough in my book.
