scream-of-consciousness;
"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."

Oh Daddy,can you forgive me?
... a young woman's journey out of
the left-wing fever swamps.
The
term redpill refers to a human that is aware of the true nature of the
Matrix. Redpills are typically humans whose bodies and minds have been
freed from the power plant by Zion hovercraft teams, but humans still
connected to the Matrix can also be aware of its reality. Usually,
Redpills encounter anomalies or glitches in the system, or may free
themselves from physical bonds by exceeding human limitations. In
either of these cases, other Redpills find them and offer them freedom.

I
discovered this "Red Pill" meme on Free Republic. In this context
it's where snowflakes allow their intelligence to take up arms
against the institutional left-tard culture that have
formed their
political realities. I am
hopeful.
Warning: The young lady here is a recovering snowflake, and the
patois may be unsettling, but stick with it.
We're sorry, Honey. We don't care what kind of political catharsis you may have experienced. Until you lose that stupid fucking ring in your nose, we have zero interest in anything you have to say.
That woman is a more honest version of my daughter; instead of the nose ring, my daughter has rings in her eyebrows. Years ago, much shopping was done so that she could shine in a custom gown at her High School graduation ball; naturally, it was black- exactly like 90% of the other girls at that High School. What a rebel!
My daughter will probably never acknowledge that there actually IS another side. She's employed as a tutor at a university, so is surrounded with liberal groupthink. This girl and my daughter both seem to think that they are "rebels against the mainstream," but fail to realize that nowadays they ARE the mainstream. Establishment, recognize yourself! For them, that "center" they want to be in is actually pretty far-Left, but they don't see it that way.
Thanks for posting that. It was like seeing my daughter, who I miss a lot. I seldom talk to her, as I am not the "racist bigot fascist" that she pictures in her mind's eye; that makes conversation difficult, so she avoids it (my guess anyway.)
(My daughter also uses her cuffs as handkerchiefs; maybe it's a generational thing- but I too want to gift this girl with a box of tissues!)
So yeah, like, it is like, um, she is like ... the end of intellectualism, as demonstrated by the popularity of 140-letter temper tantrums used in place of deeper thought. And like, Donald Trump is doing it so it is good, um until it isn't even sane anymore.
And it saddens me that millennial emotionalism has latched onto and is being influenced by the solipsistic world that drives our juvenile septuagenarian president.
Sadly, the real problems of the world are being displaced by manufactured proxy wars between Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives and possibly cats and rats and elephants as sure as your born . . .. Sorry didn't mean to get carried away.

ReplyDeleteSam & Ann don't be so harsh. I just wanted to give her a tissue.
ReplyDeleteHey, come on. It's at least a baby step.

Can't understand her mumbling.

Anyway this whole issue is has given pause to a very important blogger - and he might check out of the game.
