"If you're trying to change minds and influence people it's probably not a good idea to say that virtually all elected Democrats are liars, but what the hell."
Saw my first episode the other day. I know there's a plot story in there somewhere, but I just wallowed in the colorful glory of the clothing, house and surroundings. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
Somewhere, there's someone who will - eventually - figure out how to merge the graceful and polite social structure of the middle/upper middle class 1930s with (unintrusive) 2017 technology and medical advances.

You are right about "The Durrells". It is wonderful. I laugh out loud through most of the episodes.
In the first episode (before she moves the family to Corfu), the mother pours herself a big glass of gin, watches the clock and then downs the glass when it strikes 1pm. I'm glad to know that that is the rule.
