FBI arrests leader of armed group stopping migrants in New Mexico
TAOS, N.M. (Reuters) - The FBI on Saturday said it had arrested Larry Hopkins, the leader of an armed group that is stopping undocumented migrants after they cross the U.S.-Mexico border into New Mexico.

PATRIOTS OR FASCISTS?
The UCP describes itself as a “patriot group” helping U.S. Border Patrol cope with record numbers of Central American families crossing the border to seek asylum.
Dressed in camouflage and carrying rifles, UCP members have helped U.S. Border Patrol detain over 5,600 migrants in the last two months, Benvie said. Videos posted online by the group show members telling migrants to stop, sit down, and wait for agents to arrive. Critics accuse the UCP of impersonating law enforcement.
Crowdfunding sites PayPal and GoFundMe on Friday barred the group, citing policies not to promote hate or violence, after the ACLU called the UCP a “fascist militia.”
This just about cuts it for me
. We are officially engaged in a great civil war
A "fascist" militia? 'Sounds to me like ex-fucking-zactly the kind of militia our Founders intended for all of us citizens to be organized into!
ReplyDeleteI thought the leader was arrested because he was a convicted felon not allowed to have a firearm. Is that not true?
ReplyDeleteOf course, all American ghettos are heavily infested with "felons in possession of firearms" and those people are not being prosecuted.
ReplyDeleteWe have too many laws. The reason we so many laws is to allow the Ruling Class prosecute anybody and to choose those whom they want to prosecute. (Silverglate "Three Felonies a Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent".)
Members of the Ruling Class and their clients (e.g. illegal aliens) are not prosecuted. People who oppose the will of the Ruling Class get prosecuted. Samuel T. Francis called this "anarcho-tyranny". “We refuse to control real criminals (that’s the anarchy) so we control the innocent (that’s the tyranny).”
Also, there is a news story this morning that Mexico is complaining about armed groups operating on our side of the border. How do you say "irony" in Spanish?
ReplyDeleteThat would be Ironia or inesperado.
DeleteIf any State does not have an official State Militia inclusive of all of its citizens and restricted to the three duties of Article 1, Section 8 USC; to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions...then that duty is reserved to the People according to the Tenth Amendment. Militia groups need to vet their members.
ReplyDeleteWhen Johnny Comes Marching Home
ReplyDeleteAnd what happened to all the illegals they've stopped? Were they all given the standard 5 course lobster dinner, the bag of gold, and the keys to the kingdom like all the rest of them are?
ReplyDeleteSure, Hopkins is a bit of a nutter. But he's a nutter in the right direction. He and his crew are out risking their lives doing the job the border patrol isn't strong enough to do. Hopkins' bunch may be the first, but I hope he soon has half a million fellow citizens join in. It's about the only way we have left.
The Gettysburg Address
ReplyDeleteFor those of you scoring at home.
Skoonj ... missed that.
ReplyDeleteWell, didn't Oblamer want a "civilian army, just as strong as the military"??
ReplyDeleteThere was a time I would've believed that anybody the FBI arrested was a bad guy who needed to be taken off the streets; not any more. The FBI has been revealed to be a vast criminal organization with mobsters like Robert Mueller, James Comey and Andrew McCabe heading the outfit. All of them should be in prison. So I have no idea if this charge against Hopkins is real or just another phony hit-job by the Badged Mobsters.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at the cast of creatures who want these border-defending patriots disbanded, arrested and done away with, they have one thing in common: they're all America-hating Democrat scum like NM's Gov. Michelle Grisham, backed up by the ACLU & the SPLC. I spit in their general direction!
I stand with the patriots defending the border, who are risking their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to do what must be done. I salute those brave men, and hope to join them one day soon!
His mugshot certainly doesn't help. Looked like his mom and dad were also his aunt and uncle. Or something.
ReplyDeleteYes, apparently he was also using a false name. However, the feds needed to find something to hang on him to take him out of the game.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, the remainder are still on patrol, hosting invaders until the Border Patrol shows up to collect them.
