A Long Time Ago
A very interesting video (3 minutes, 25 seconds) which highlights the changes in our world in the last 50 - 70 years. Many of you are actually old enough to remember and connect with these photos. I hope you enjoy it.
Rajah, we have an A&W drive-in just down the highway from us. They still have the "frosty mug" of A&W rootbeer and it does not get any better than that! This video brings back a lot of wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing it!
Yes, that was my growing-up time, and I remember the 15c McD's burgers & the drive-in restaurants.
My Dad drove us across the country in a '50 Ford, the first new car he'd ever bought, & I had a Kodak Brownie 6-20 camera, which I used to take photos in B&W. Couldn't get them developed until we got back home, so I didn't know how any turned out until much later!
That was long before diversity enriched our lives so much, and I'd give anything to go back to those days. Thanks for the memories, Rodge!
Thanks for this. I started smiling at the second picture, by the fourth, I had a full-blown grin on my face! These pictures could have come straight out of my childhood, sixty-some years ago.
Made me tear up. Some of those pics reminded me of kind, hard-working, good-natured people long gone, who gave me more love than I deserved. Lt. Col. Gen. Tailgunner dick
