Tom Bevin of Real Clear Politics
is fairly typical of a bevy of top rank conservative bloggers, in that
he is able to dispassionately deal with politics, directing nary a
drop of acrid venom at the filth who comprise today's Democratic party. You'll have to plumb the depths
of Lefty bloggers to find like examples of professionalism.
So, when he does ''lose it,'' you can be sure we're dealing with a
particularly odious human being, as was the case a few days ago with
Paul Begala.
He begins by recalling a Begala rant that "stuck with me as one of the truly despicable pieces of discourse of the last few years," |
|
You really can't paint with a much broader brush than labeling half
the country racist, anti-gay bigots and neo-nazis. What struck me about
Begala's comments at the time was that he wasn't some no-name nutroot
blogger crying out for attention (they didn't exist yet), he was a top
strategist in the Democratic party. He remains that today - even though
his penchant for most uncivil type of discourse seems as great as ever.
Here is Begala concluding his first post at the new Washington Monthly Election '06 blog:
The Capitol needs a change. Hell, it needs to be fumigated.
And as the stench and filth of GOP sleaze slowly oozes away, let us
never forget that these slimeballs, these dirtbags, these moral midgets
think they're better than you and me.
Such highmindedness. As I said, this stuff isn't coming from a
member of the kooky lunatic fringe but from a top Dem political
strategist and one of the people who has their hand on the rudder of
the Democratic party.

I am not so in control as Tom anymore (I was once), opting to wear
my heart on my sleeve. This culture of hatred that is the hallmark of
today's Democrats has claimed me. Hate begets hate, and I now
abhor, and fear, that party of festering boils.
Click-click. However, I am not celebrated by the Republican
party, as are Kos, DU, Begala, et.al. by the Democrat leadership.
That's the difference between the two, at its simplest.

ReplyDeleteWell, ain't that the pot calling the kettle a n!&&er ???
hoofah desnay !!!
being in the trenches is essential...
ReplyDeletebut, nothing you ever suggest is not true.
i tire of so-called 'high minded' Conservatives desperate to seem independent, who use the same angst for Republicans being imperfect, and for Democrats being corrupt...
for example, George Will is Mr. Perfect, yet, as far as i know, he is a so-called journalist, never to have managed any office. his lack of perspective shows, and his ego is critical of all.
Ms. Malkin (whom I think the world of) has exhibited similar aspects.
Ronald Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, etc., were desperately needed to be strong enough to say it like it is.
on a fun note, i remember Begala got so depressed, when Bill and Hillary were revealed to the vast public as frauds. he basically disappeared from the scene, grew a beard, and yet, years later he still pushes for the same corrupt folly.
...stench and filth of GOP sleaze..oozes.. ???
ReplyDeleteThe DimoshitS are trying like heck to divert the *intelligence* of American voters from actual, important issues of national interest and security. Issues like these:
