The 2 words that strike fear into every parent's heart--"SCIENCE FAIR". My son just got through his and made it to districts by 0.5 points. It took him about 4 weeks of 1-2 hour/day work. Looks like the kid in the pic did it on the bus ride to school. I love the wacky fonts he used for the presentation.
P.S. My daughter has science fair in 2 years. I need to steal some easy ideas. Don't think the DT one will pass muster at Catholic school.
