Hawk

Today's Bird


This guy was looking at me, and I was looking at him.  I think he was wondering, "Where did all them tasty squirrels and birds go to?"   I tried to move closer, but he, no doubt, has noticed that I shoot at squirrels, and was afraid.  Needlessly.  Come back and eat more pigeons and squirrels Mr. Hawk.

    I got some photos of an immature Swainson's hawk between the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial last month. Amazing where they turn up.
