This post by lotp, from the beautiful Flite-Line Lounge, struck me as being pretty sensible.

TW, unfortunately in most states cleaning the voter
rolls requires the cooperation of a state-level official, usually an
elected Secty of State. In this election several of those officials
(among them OH, PA, NH) actively colluded to prevent that from
happening.
To clean up the rolls will require defeating them in elections. But
throwing them out of office will in turn require convincing a lot of
people including in their own party that that is an important thing to do. Based on this last election, I think it will be hard to get people to care.
Yeah, I'm pretty pessimistic right now. Not about the loss per se
but about the means by which the loss happened. About the 'I don't know
and I don't care about illegalities' attitude among voters. About a
highly politicized Justice Dept. and courts who failed to intervene in
the registration fraud. About two generations of younger voters who
have an ends-justifies-the-means willingness to set aside basic
Constitutional protections and responsibilities.

Yea, Rodge...I've been thinking, and it's not so much that I hated Hussein Obama...we all have the right to be sacks-o-shit if we want. What I loathed and still do loathe is the fancy-free, skip-to-my-lou, blind, ignorant, whorish, grab-bag way a fucking country jumped on this guys cock without checking that he had syphilis, or shit, if he even had washed his balls. I'm not even gonna talk about the jack-ass-fuck-nuts who sneered at anyone who weren't in line. I only chatted with three Obamanauts today. Not one of them had ever heard of Philip Berg. Never even heard of him! -- i begged them.... please take 20 seconds and ask yourself why not.
