  2. The website is at: http://republicanwhip.house.gov/YouCut/

Take a look at that stuff. nickels and dimes. It's gonna take a whole lot of cutting - mostly in entitlement programs to even have a chance of making a dent.

  3. Start by abolishing the many bloated federal agencies. That would give us savings year after year.

Mona Charen: Abolishing Department of Education isn't extreme

  5. No no no. I meant this works as beauty campaign vehicle. It taps into voter resentment over gummint spending; by implication blames that spending on Democrats; and is a plan that allows people to become directly involved in fixing it. Maybe not as slick as 1994's Contract with America, but better than the usual sterile campaign rhetoric. IMO.

  6. I went to the site and voted my pick of the week. What the hey.... However, the Contract with America? The what? The where? The when? And how did that work out for all of us, eh? Sorry, but I've become so tainted with skepticism I no longer believe any of them. No politician represents the people anymore. They get to DC and start scratching backs with their political kin.

Whimpy Republican failure is why we are where we are today. They had the majority to make big changes and they were "scared". They let the Dem's cry "minority representation" like it was something legitimate. I'll vote in November because it is my duty, but I will not believe a single promise until I see one proved.

  8. Hey Juice...I went back in time a few years ago, and I tried to be very careful but I accidently stepped on a fly and crushed it to death...Well when I got back, there was in the news reports(you remember this) articles about thousands of frogs dying without explaination.....
    I figured it was starvation.

  11. Keep in mind that most gun control legislation is not so much aimed at protecting the public, but ensuring that the state has armament superiority over the people/subjects.
