What made this case and
this hearing different, is that it mattered not where Obama was born
rather, at the center of the stage, would be the nationality of Obama’s
father.
Obama’s father was never a U.S. Citizen and a great deal of evidence to
that point was entered into the official record this morning.
Another linchpin in all of this, is the definition of “Natural Born
Citizen” which one must be, by writ of the Constitution, to hold the
office of President. According to the plaintiffs in this hearing, that
definition can be clearly found in the written opinion of the United
States Supreme Court in the case of Minor vs Happersett from 1875. [Full

[Excerpt]
This
begs the question; Can a sitting President be commanded by subpoena, to
appear in court? Many claim Executive Privilege prevents it.
They would be wrong.

That excerpt is my cue to explain that I'm not a complete vocabulary
twat.
"Begging
the question" is a form of logical fallacy in which a statement or
claim is assumed to be true without evidence other than the statement
or claim itself. When one begs the question, the initial assumption of
a statement is treated as already proven without any logic to show why
the statement is true in the first place. [Source]
That's how Craig Andresen uses the term in his article. To
beg the
question does not mean "to raise the question." (e.g. "It begs
the
question, why is he so dumb?") However, as I pointed out to a knave who
questioned me using it in that fashion in 1995, " the New Oxford
Dictionary of English, for example, says it is “widely accepted in
modern standard English”
One should I think be consistent, however, and I am not. So it's like "twat." I use them both
ways and leave it for you to figure out what I mean. see "Lazy."

And grammar/usage nazis always lose.
ReplyDeleteLanguage is only fixed when it is dead, like latin.
Grammar, spelling, and usage change over time. An Old English speaker is nearly incomprehensible today.
There is a fly in the ointment when you consider the citizenship of Obama's father. That fly is named "Chester Arthur" and, not only was he POTU but his father wasn't a citizen at the time of Arthur's birth (and Arthur may not have been born in the US).
ReplyDelete.
It is doubtful that anyone alive (including Barack) knows the identity of his real biological father with certainty (certitude?). Odds are that Obama could probably prove his father was actually a citizen with a few simple DNA tests. But that would open conflict with Bill Ayers "Fable Of The Second Coming".
ReplyDelete"Arthur may not have been born in the US)"
ReplyDeleteCue stage left - enter mysterious stranger offering preposterously odd and irrelevant reasons for calling off the hounds. Precious.
According to those standards,
ReplyDeleteWinston Churchill was just as eligible to be US President as Obama.
Hunh, mebbe that explains the "bust" thing.
(What? No, not really. Just makin' a point.)
Obama can end this crap by having that hospital in Oahu send the election board a copy of his birth cert.
ReplyDeleteSo then this begs the question ( heh ):
Why has he not done this?
Seriously, if he does this the election folks will stfu and put his name on the ballot.
So ... where is that document? All it would take is a certified letter to the hospital, and maybe a check to cover handling. Does Obama need some money? I'll loan him a $20 to cover the costs if he needs it.
