In May I groused about that monster called Google's attempt to freeze out competition with a legislative initiative called "Internet Neutrality.'' ''[This legislation would] "essentially bar all high-speed network operators such as Comcast and ATT to offer additional services such as video downloads, online video-gaming, or enhanced email that compete with companies like Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft that already offer them.'' Now SondraK is on full-automatic over this issue herself.  A while back she cut a deal with some ad people who pay her a decent buck for some non-intrusive advertising on her site.  As a result, Google removed her as a presence.  Here, try searching  "Knowledge is Power Blog"   Is this a result of Google trying to eliminate the commercialization of the Internet, LOL?  No, if you join Google's AdSense program they love it.  With that in mind,  let's appreciate Google's pitch  for support, using this argument. Today the Internet is an information highway where anybody – no matter how large or small, how traditional or unconventional – has equal access. But the phone and cable monopolies, who control almost all Internet access, want the power to choose who gets access to high-speed lanes and whose content gets seen first and fastest. They want to build a two-tiered system and block the on-ramps for those who can't pay. As a footnote, one of the ''helpers'' Google paid to help them get the message out is that wonderfully democratic origination Moveon.Org.  So much money that they are able to funnel over $100,000 to help defeat Republican candidates in the '06 elections.  But, wait.  Moveon needs the cash - now that their founding benefactor has been convicted [Insider trading conviction of Soros is upheld] .  Bwahaaaaa.
