The Cindy-Sheehan left have marshaled their pitiful resources (Daily Kos and Moveon.org) against Jos. Lieberman in the CT primary. I always thought it was a futile effort, and at best would result in the Republican winning a three-way race that included Donk Lamont and Independent Lieberman. As the rhetoric has escalated though, I would myself now vote for Lieberman were I a Connecticutter, so this is a heartening analysis. ''Even [if] he does lose, the likelihood is still that the next Senator of Connecticut will be named Joseph Lieberman. As a centrist, he is well placed to scoop up independent, even moderate Republican voters. One poll gives him 44 per cent in a three way general election, as much as Lamont and the official Republican candidate combined.'' What fun it will be to see Joe Lieberman voting with Republicans to organize the Senate in 2007, truly a Kos-Moveon Golden Shower moment.
