Haters and Hollywood (Kidman)

''I Hate Republicans'' - Democrat Party Chair Howard Dean
Wednesday I caught wind of Nicole Kidman's issue ad in the Los Angeles Times.  Signed by 85 top actors, directors and other Hollywood glitterati, it condemned Hezbollah and Hamas, and concluded:
If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die. We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs.
Can you believe that a statement as fundamentally American, and sensible, as that could be  faulted?  I spent considerable time trying to find the ad without success (I just now found it here).  It wasn't even mentioned in the Los Angeles Times online!  A Google news search yielded nothing from Drive-by Media, who fall over themselves covering anti-war rants by the likes if the Dixie Chunks. This morning I discovered just how complete the news embargo was.
According to Nexis, not a single American news organization other than Fox News Channel has covered it.
Could they be any more Tass?

What a pickle these haters have themselves in.  While 85 people from the entertainment industry, maybe the most left-wing community in the nation, were willing to <gasp> side with the Bush Administration's policy on terror, they were just 85 people.

The left are so invested in defeating any Bush sponsored measure that they are aligned with ugly killers who would lop most of their heads off, given the opportunity. Frankly, I'm at the point where  I don't care if they do, except a lot of really good people will be the collateral damage.  Like you.

I wonder if Nicole is a US citizen. Sounds like Hollyweird hasn't killed the common sense Aussie in her.

Oops, my bad. She was born in Hawaii. Probably has dual citizenship.

I guess freedom of the press today is all about exposing national security, but never promoting national surcurity.
The coverage they choose to withhold is what truly defines them. Juice

i keep hearing Bruce Willis is a Republican, but i don't see any confirmation on this...

Bernie Mac is truly funny..

Vivica A. Fox is sexy...

actors beliefs concern me very little, but knowing the insecure, mindless liberals, who live in liberal isolation, unaware their mindeset are not accepted by others, this is probably another blow to their reality.

Nice to know they are not ALL mindless self centerd fools.

The two celebs that surprised me on that list were Michael Douglas and Dennis Hopper! I don't why I thought they had always left a lot of blood on the stage (from their bleeding hearts). Nice list there. Nice to know they aren't all ClooneyBabs...........

One of my favorite Bruce Willis scenes is from The Fifth Element.

When a bunch of (alien) terrorists take the captain of a ship hostage and demand "We want to negotiate!" he walks in and pops their leader right between the eyes and says "Anyone else want to negotiate?".

If only we had a President like that.
/sigh

At least Nicole has discovered how to make the media leave her alone.

BTW, why is this known as a Nicole Kidman ad? Did she organize it? Or is she just the hottest babe on the list? (Which is perfectly valid, of course.)

Yours is as good a reason as any. Maybe she's the one who paid fir it?

I just figured out why it's the ''Kidman'' ad. The Aussie press were the only ones to cover it, and of course their interest was Nicole. Which begs the question:

"If every newspaper in America was vaporized, would America miss any news?''

The MSM is rapidly moving past the position of enablers for the Left and terrorism, to the position of actively helping out the terrorists (see: faked photos out of Lebanon).

At some point, we will have to add the MSM to the list of actual enemies that we fight.

They are a very soft target
