Lawn decoration

Of witches and devils
I just now ran across the sign shown above (left), and it reminded me of my own Halloween horror show.  Beginning in 1993, and each Halloween for the next 11 years, this Clinton witch & devil contraption graced our front lawn.  I made it by enlarging an image the American Spectator used as a magazine insert,  blew it up with my scanner, and printed it in sections. A ¾" plywood backing cut to shape with a jigsaw made it quite sturdy.  The image was protected with coats of clear marine varnish.

In all those years not a single person commented on it, one way or another.  Not one!  Then, a few years ago a very dear old lady who walks past our house, and who is a devout television evangelical ''client'' (and a democrat!) stopped me in the yard one day.  She requested that I take it down, because it portrayed witchcraft.  The thing was falling apart anyway, so I complied.  Since then it's been my intention to dress up my Dancing Homer and put him outside, but alas, ennui has set in.  Sigh.

now that is scary...

yikes...

i would have thought, someone would shoot at the Hillary and Bill image...

meanwhile, an ABC Radio slant update, just talked about secret CIA Prisons and so-called abuses at Gitmo, as i was typing...

Ann Compton and Sherry Preston are also rather scary, being insane liberal Democrats...

How about replacing it with a straight up picture of the Hilldabeast standing behind a podium with the presidential seal on it? That would scare the daylights out of me.
