Hmmm, I don't exactly get the connection between this story and Howard Jarvis, marcm, since dems are always finding ways to rob our wallets. Could expand on your outlook for me? :)

As you probably already understand, Howard Jarvis' Prop 13 passed in 1978, which limited the homeowner tax rate to 1% of value per year. (Of course the tax assessor's office increases property value each year creating additional expense to owners, regardless.)

But, just 4 years after Prop 13, two Demorobber legislators passed the Mellow-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982 in response. It has multipled to most every city in CA's new construction, with built in annual increases...forever. Add to that endless bonds, neighborhood maintainence fees, etc., and you will see how the dirty Dem's are chipping away at Prop 13. Luckily we did defeat Prop 88 most recently. Thanks for you time, Juice
