Our local guy, Mike Rosen, played the audio of this yesterday. Very moving. I'd be down at DIA if there were troops disembarking there like Dallas.

Being the cynical person I am, just gotta wonder about ABC airing this. I mean that's what the MSM has done to me.

Opptomistic stories like this, stories I read from Iraqi blogs with their favorable take on Americans in their country, the absolutely peaceful Kurdish area and their love of Americans, the great progress our guys and gals have made in 90% of Iraq and how peaceful is most of the country. Recounting that sort of thing, even now, would swing the 1/3 of the middle back to our side.

So you just gotta ask, why in the *uck does the MSM have a 24/7 loop of bad news? Why does a story like this one stand out so much when instead it should be the norm?

It's feaking Bizarro World

My friend it is because the Jack Leg media is part and parcel of the democrapper party. They are allies attached at the asshole. I would have said spine but they do not have one. You must remember the reporters in Iraq are sitting inside the well protected Greeen zone and making up stories in safty trying to interest the public and push the crapper agenda. They do not have the courage of an Ernie Pyle or war corespondents of yester year. These people are corwards for the most part. I mean you have Geroldo and Col. North that goes out with the troops but the others hide in the Grenn zone.

To add to what Jack said,
It is because there are people in this country who are in the age range of 18 through their 40s that have been indoctrinated by a liberally run school system. People who are so self centered that they never respected their parents, or anyone of authority for that matter. People who never had to defend this country by taking up arms, people who don’t remember when a product that had “made in USA” stamped on it meant something. People who never celebrated Fourth of July in their front yard at the age of two; holding a sparkler high pretending to be the Statue of Liberty. People who believe that it is morally correct to steal from others because they are entitled, that the force of government is their religion; that the phrase “thou shalt not steal” is obsolete in the context that what they do is for the good of the “whole”. People who have too much time on their hands, who believe they have a right to control the destiny of others. People who believe that one more death in war is too many, yet 3000 on 911 and 3000 more young men and women lost in battle is just OK. People who claim to feel the pain of others yet could care less about the unborn. People who would select an empty suit for a leader so long as it is trendy, the right color, the right religion (or lack thereof) and there is something in it for them.
Don’t get me started.

I've got 2 hot buttons. Folks that read my ramblings know of my disgust with the MSM. A close second is vouchers. You nailed the public school system. It has raised several generations of children disconnected from what the United States of America is and how special our country has always been in this world.

I live across the street from a high school, a nice high school, not like the inner city high schools in Denver. I know I was clueless when I was 15 but I remember I loved American History when I was in high school. I've read several of the American History texts used today in high schools and they, at times, seem to be talking about another country. There's a disconnect that appaulingly palpable. And when you talk to the students, you're right, they don't identify themselves with America. They don't realize that they are the luckiest people on earth.

I lay this at the feet of the CSMF teacher's unions. They are ones teaching our students that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were bigots and racists. Rain forest math and forced showings of An Inconvient Truth, condoms on banans and Billy Has Two Moms. It's *ucking sickening. These MoFo liberals scream about the "choice" to have an abortion but GD it, they are not going to allow parents the choice of where to send their children. Really, if vouchers come up in your area, look at who opposes it. When competition has always made perfect sense, somehow in education, government schools are the only choice.

You can tell what a bunch of GD hypocrites our political leaders are when they shoot down any voucher program yet send their children to preivate schools. Pisses the living shit out of me. It's an insidious scheme and it's working. Teach BS to young minds, cram the beauty of big goverment into their heads, don't teach them basic economics, than get them somehow, someway(check out Teddy and his low college tuition scheme) into higher education where the liberalism is even worse. than release them into society as firm believers in the MSM and it's a *ucking wonder there is even a USA any more.

My head is going to explode
