Immigration Weasels

We want action first Lindsay ... because we don't trust you

Enjoy the View

GOP negotiators of an immigration reform bill are crafting a large border security amendment with mandatory, immediate funding that they hope will assuage concerns of both Republicans and Democrats, FOX News has learned…

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a principle author of the amendment with Republican Sens. Jon Kyl and Mel Martinez, says his amendment is designed to be “a confidence builder” to address members’ concerns that ramped up border security provisions in the bill won’t, in the end, get funded.

Graham hopes to provide $4.4 billion the day the bill is signed, through an estimate in fees and fines in the current immigration bill, to be used to beef up all the border security measures  STOP RIGHT HERE

This is  mnore legerdemain from the despicable Republican senator from South Carolina.  Appropriating $4.4 billion dollars doesn't mean squat.  Appropriated funds do not have to be spent.  Does anyone remember the law mandating 700 miles of fence along the U.S.-Mexico border?  Have you seen any pictures of the fence being built?  Here's the only "compromise" I'm buying.

RE: RE: SENATE MEETING   [Kate O'Beirne]

Andy McCarthy has company in the senators who will insist that the additional funding produce measurable results before considering any sweeping reform. We can only hope he has enough company to block the Senate bill.

Here, thanks to Lloyd Briggs, are the Republican Senators most likely turn tail and vote for amnesty.
(* Senators up for re-election in 2008)

* Alexander (R-TN)
Bennett (R-UT)
* Cochran (R-MS)
* Coleman (R-MN)
* Collins (R-ME)
* Cornyn (R-TX)
* Domenici (R-NM)
Gregg (R-NH)
Hatch (R-UT)
Hutchison (R-TX)
Kyl (R-AZ) (punk)
Lott (R-MS) (punk)
* McConnell (R-KY)
Murkowski (R-AK)
* Smith (R-OR)
Snowe (R-ME)
Stevens (R-AK)
* Warner (R-VA)

I think I'm moving to South Carolina so I can vote against that pompous SOB.

Are you sure about McConnell?

What happened to Lamar and Norm? Sad What the hell are these idiots thinking?

I heard Rudy yesterday speaking about immigration and this guy is tough as nails. He says he will stop illegal immigration FIRST. Contrary to what Jack says, Rudy no way in hell agrees with HRC more than conservatives. Fred also has been talking the talk about illegal immigration but man, in Rudy, there is fire. He's faced down the liberals before and won.

McConnell just announced that he's "80% there" in getting a deal. That;s all that matters to these guys, getting a deal.

I am tired of the bull shit. the record is there in black and white for everyone to see. Rudy has supported open borders for ages and kep NY more or less a sanctuary city. You can talk about all the fire in his ass you wish but facts are facts the man supports homosexual marriage and homosexual rights, He has been a big supporter of gun conrol and open borders and that does not scratch the surface.He is a very liberal guy just as liberal as most democrap and every one in the friggin media knows it and have talked about it and how it will play to the conservative base. Well it is playing about like a fart ina mason jar and will get worse. The guy is going no where. So you can keep lying to your self all you want and keep bringing up my name because I will not suck up to Rudy. He is not a conservative no way no how and I do not give a damn how desperately you try o paint him as such.

A note about calling congress critters. If the congressperson's office cannot identify you as a constituent, they flat do not care what you think. You used to be able to lie, but today caller ID will out you. Call your Senator - that works big time. E-mail in volume might work to if it doesn't look staged.

I've tried McConnell's office a half dozen times today and it's been busy.

Jack, read Rudy's 12 commitments he released yesterday. NUMBER TWO is he will stop illegal immigration. That sure don't sound like open borders to me. And he's pledged to appoint STRICT constructionist judges. That means no homosexual marriage.

I have some problems with Rudy, like his second amendment garbage and abortion position. However if he keeps his promise about the judges, I don't see anyone else with his pineapples on Islamofascism.

I want to see Fred come out breathing fire.

Yeah, I believed GW was more conservative than his opponents. What did it get us, besides the GWOT and tax cuts? Massive spending, Medicare prescriptions, NCLB, an amnesty bid, and a continuing list of the Left's "best ideas" foisted on us by our "conservative" President. Hell, he must be conservative, 'cause the media tells me all the time he is.

Not again. I'm not anti-Rudy, but I want a real conservative. If you think Rudy will get the conservative base out, you're way wrong. Best guess is a slightly larger percentage in NY goes red, and every other conservative stays home. Not a pretty picture.

Run Fred!

i could care less about his 12 I swears, I know what his positions have been in the past and still are.he is not to be trusted on most of these isssue's. He has always been anti gun pro homosexual , pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage. he did not change over night. this man is not a damn conservative in any manner and he is not going to sell it to the troops. Even if he blows fireballs out of his ass. Good grief.
