True story:

I used to work with a girl years ago whose name was Jackie Walker. She had been dating a sailor, Robert Knoff, stationed here for over a year when he got orders to the west coast. Not wanting to leave her, he asked her to marry him. She accepted and planned on a quick wedding before moving.
It hit me one day at work a couple weeks before the wedding and I told her "Do you realize your married name will be Jackie Knoff?" She knew then! I told her even her full name (Jaqueline) wasn't much better.
I have no idea what she goes by now.....
