Oregon's governor, Brain-dead Ted Kulongoski, wants to do pretty much the same thing, with two notable exceptions: 1. He just got the gas tax raised 2 cents per gallon and has no intentions of giving up on any fuel tax already imposed on the State's drivers. 2. He wants to do the tax-by-mileage thing by forcing the drivers of Oregon to install GPS devices in their cars (at a cost of about $400. to the vehicle's owner) that will register at the gas pumps each time the driver takes on fuel, gas or Diesel.
If nothing else, the GPS usage for taxing the drivers is a clear violation of the 5th Amendment. -

And I assume that Brain-Dead-Ted will also expect the gas stations to pay for the equipment for their part of the scam, too.
On a lighter note: More Republicans Satisfied With Sex Lives Than Democrats ...of course, we all knew that.

No prollem with that idea boss. Just search for odometer reprogramming as you can now do-it-yourself. In fact, I recently read a consumer reports article to be aware of the mileage readings on used cars as odo reprogramming happens.

Hmmmmm now all I have to do is figger out where all those disgruntled RI'ers are gonna move to when they get sick and tired enuff of the BS, and put whatever state that will be on my DONT NOT MOVE HERE list. Cause ya know, they are gonna wreck where ever they move to. People that sit back, do nothing and allow their state governemnt to sink this low are NOT the type I want as neighbors!
Here in Pennsylvania we are starting to slip down the same slope, but at least a few of us are still fightin! I can not see myself living in ANY North Eastern state 5 years from now. The entire NE is going Blue and getting more and more socialist everyday.....
