Elected Thieves

Ain't Life (30,000,000) Grand
Oh Gawd I'm Stimulated" - Nancy Pelosi

Talk about a pet project. A tiny mouse with the longtime backing of a political giant may soon reap the benefits of the economic-stimulus package.

Lawmakers and administration officials divulged Wednesday that the $789 billion economic stimulus bill being finalized behind closed doors in Congress includes $30 million for wetlands restoration that the Obama administration intends to spend in the San Francisco Bay Area to protect, among other things, the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi represents the city of San Francisco and has previously championed preserving the mouse's habitat in the Bay Area.

According the Congressional Budget Office, this year's deficit may be a record $1.2 trillion. And while this number includes the financial bailouts, it doesn`t include the humongous stimulus proposal that`s before us now. Once you add outstanding deficits from prior years, say the number crunchers, every single one of us would have to pay $37,000 apiece to cover the cost.

Which, in simple terms, makes me want to puke. But I wouldn`t be so disgusted by all of this, if we were just honest about what`s really going on. This isn`t a stimulus plan – it`s looting.

Our government is looking at this financial crisis the same way looters looked at the Rodney King verdict - a momentary excuse for seemingly inexcusable behavior - a chance to smash and grab, knowing you may never get that chance for a free set of tires again (at least until the Lakers win another championship).

At least that`s how the Democrats are looking at it. They see this financial catastrophe as an opportunity to check off every program on their wish list – knowing that the consequences from such behavior will prevent them from ever having that opportunity again.

So they`re getting it all in now.

Even worse, the media is treating the bill the same way they treat normal looting – it`s just a natural reaction to the injustices of the world, meaning the last eight years of Bush-Hitler.

So I say - let`s stop calling it a stimulus bill and call it what it really is: the looting of America – a free-for all against free markets. Sure, Nancy Pelosi may not be running down the street with a case of toilet paper under her arm.

But she might as well be.

I stole it from here:

The pork passes right on thru. Every senator and congressman /woman talking about how this is the worst time in history financially and they want to send money on a mouse !!! All this bill is a about is a Dems wish list for everything they wanted the last 30 years nothing more. There will be a slight bump in the economy maybe..... but by mid 2010 hold on to your hat boys and girls the dollar will be worth nothing We are passing a bill that's going to cost us at least 3 trillion....... That's the true cost of the bill. guess what we don't have 3 trillion dollars so they are going to print it. When you print money just to pay off bed debt it is just useless paper and makes all other money useless.

Talk about a depression, before the great depression started we had surpluses, All the people were not crammed into the urban areas like they are now, People could grow there own food, You did not have millions of people sucking on the government tit before the depression even started. If we see a depression even haft as bad we are going to see rioting because people feel the government owes them three meals and a house. Back in the 30's people did for themselves, they worked hard, they had morals, There was no sitting at home and uncle Sam will come and feed me.

They voted on a bill they did not even read. They voted on "We will get it right " What kind of shit is that. Just like the first give away to the banks and big three. That money is all gone Fox news is suing to see were the money in the bill went and the government won't tell them. Why not? WE ALL KNOW WHY ITS ALL BEEN BLOWN ON BIG SALARIES AND BAD DEBT. There is talk that 70 billion was lost and they can't find it. I guess that's why my Papaw never kept his money in a bank he said they were all crooks. I always said he was the smartest man I ever knew

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, as well as Kommisar Obama, are going to use the U.S. Treasury as if it were their own personal ATM machine.

It looks like the time is ripe to call for the impeachment of these fatheads before they can do any more damage than they've already done.
