We were in Mass a few weeks ago and the gospel was about the prophet Amos. I leaned over to my 9 yr old daughter and told her to ask her mother about Amos's cousin Andy. The wife almost blew a snot bubble.

Yeah, I'm gonna burn.

The NAACP is still worried about Amos & Andy projecting blacks in a degrading way on television? In the last 40 years has anyone over there looked at a black sitcom, turned on BET, VH-1 or MTV or watched black rapper and hip-hop videos?
Even more laughable, have they ever seen and listened to Maxine Waters, Alcee Hastings, John Conyers, Al Sharpton or Cynthia McKinney in full dudgeon over some imaginary racial slight?

my Grandfather (Dad's side) used to cry with laughter listening to that show on the radio. He was an old Southern boy and could see the humor.

That's all well and good but the question remains: how do you feel about The Cisco Kid?

Was he a friend of yours?

Cisco & Poncho taught all us kids how to ride and shoot the Old cavalry way; chop that cap gun down with each shot- it worked, I never missed with my Fanner 50, and managed to stay on my bike while chasing the bad guys.
