Sometimes, you all you gotta do is read aloud what they wrote. But, she'll probably never get it.

And the reason it's colder & darker during winter? The axial tilt is *away* from the sun, meaning that the light takes longer to get to earth.

S'riously.

Rodg,

This ran in my state-wide paper (the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette). The guy (despite the name, it is a guy) is known for his sly sense of humor. He's writing this very tongue-in-cheek. There was an editorial regarding this a few days later explaining the whole thing to people who took it seriously. If I can find it, I'll send a link or something.

Ah, found the editor's reply to somebody who wrote in. Paul Greenberg at http://townhall.com/columnists/PaulGreenberg/2007/10/17/todays_catch?page=full. This link should work.

I printed this out and showed it to someone in my office. Response: "well, I never looked at it that way, she has a point. we could do without the extra hour of sunlight."

sigh. try it. I bet you get similar results.

As cuzzin ricky would say, WASF!

I'd say the bloom is still on, given what LindaSoG has had to say.

That stupid comment by the writer is like the lady who said that she didn't like daylight savings time because her flowers need all the sun they can get. These people haven't a clue.

Remember the "lady" who posted the youtube video demanding to know what the government was putting in the water to make rainbows appear when she turned on her lawn sprinklers?

She's still out there, I'm sure, worried about global warming.
