Unbelieveable - the refs reversed the call. America loses.

Number 8 on this American Thinker Array of 12 WH ObamaCare Tactics  :
Pretend to give up on controversial issues that were never acknowledged in the first place.  We've heard that the alleged Senate bill has omitted the controversial "death committee" provision that was never acknowledged to have existed in the first place. This offers the illusion of compromise.
The last sentence asks "So what other tactics are yet to be deployed? "
Answer: 8a. Pretend to give up on controversial issues, but don't.
An administration official said tonight that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius "misspoke" when she told CNN this morning that a government run health insurance option "is not an essential part" of reform.
Linda Douglass, director of health reform communications for the administration, said that President Obama believed that a public option was the best way to reduce costs and promote competition among insurance companies, that he had not backed away from that belief, and that he still wanted to see a public option in the final bill.

"Nothing has changed.," she said. "The President has always said that what is essential that health insurance reform lower costs, ensure that there are affordable options for all Americans and increase choice and competition in the health insurance market. He believes that the public option is the best way to achieve these goals." [Administration Official: "Sebelius Misspoke."]
Obama has surrounded himself with idiots like Biden, Napolitano, Geithner, blah-blah, and this from Sebelius will I think cost him dearly.  That Drudge headline signaling victory for the American people is the last thing millions saw last night, on the subject of Obamacare.  This "mistake" will cause great disappointment, and resonate as anther clusterfork from the gang who can't talk straight.

Yep, and it's still on there this morning. So when I saw that headline on Drudge, I be thinking to myself, "Self, I thought the whole damn thing WAS a public 'option'. So I guess the 'private' part was even bigger, eh?" Major kluster f*rt.

Liberals do not lie. They either mispeak or are taken out of context.

That way there's a quote to fit whichever option is convenient at the time or with whatever audience. mary

Medicare is unconstitutional and is the camel nose under the tent for the full monty govt run healthcare.
We can't give an inch, because anything, any "compromise" that is agreed to just opens the crack farther. It could be as big a disaster as Medicare, or a very small effort could work fairly well; either way, the statists will come back and use it as a stepping off point for more tinkering until the camel shits in your bed.

Isn't the D tactic to ask for the sun the moon and the stars, plus tax, tag and recappable tire. So, when they settle for the sun and moon they can claim all they have given up out of "bipartisanship"?
So, when something is 'out of the bill' and then 'back in the bill' isn't that just normal back and forth arguing to create enough confusion that you have no idea where the pebble went that was under the walnut shell.... kind of 3 card monte?? Business as usual.
