Not a Mosin-Nagant, but a Finn M39 (based on the Mosin-Nagant). Check the front sight.

There's one thing missing in that pic. A bunch of Congresscritters lined-up on the far war ;-)

Yes Juicy, that was my first thought too. Actually, mine went more along the lines of prostate exam.

Obviously a "Before" photo. The "After" photo is the same, except the rear wall is missing.

If you are going to try to correct me, get it right. Mosin and Nagant where the designers of the rifle, sport. A Russian and a Belgian.

All Finn M39s are built on Mosin-Nagant rifles, have Mosin-Nagant recievers, and are considered Mosin-Nagants.

Some of those M39s even have receivers made by Remington and Westinghouse ... original issue pre 1898 rifles, and later 1916 US-made Czarist contract rifles.

After the Tsar was deposed, Finland declared independence on 12-6-1917, and seized large stocks of former tsarist arsenal rifles.

Most of these were rebarreled and stocked by VKT ( the same folks who made my Lahti Anti-Tank rifle ... heh ) and Sako, and redesignated M39.

( the pre-1898 receivers are all "Antiques", despite having modern barrels and stocks. Mail-order, baby! )

I shoot better than he does ... I was on the line next to him at the last Appleseed shoot in Tyler TX.
