Turkey Joe Biden

Turkey Joe

Joe Willy Biden trekked over to Virgina yesterday for some campaigning, and lived up to his reputation for giving uh, interesting sound bites.
"Some of the guys Chuck (Robb) and I have campaigned for are turkeys. Not all Democrats are created equal, while most Republicans are.”  [LA TIMES]
One could use that comparison ungenerously, but instead let us focus on who the turkeys might be.  One, certainly, might be Virginia's first Black Governor, Doug Wilder.
Spurning pleas from the president and the leader of his party, former Gov. L. Douglas Wilder refused to endorse Democrat R. Creigh Deeds for Virginia governor, taking issue with the candidate's willingness to raise taxes in a weak economy.

"That doesn't show leadership and responsibility to me," [WaTimes]
Don't you love this intra-party gobbling?

I never thought I would see the day when I admired anything Doug Wilder did - but well done sir!

Has anyone listened to Creigh Deeds proposed agenda for our state. Raising taxes is first on the list. Other than that one agenda item, he is running on nothing but attack ads aimed at the ferociously sane Bob McConnell.
