David Gergen's (Future) Epitaph
To paraphrase Mary McCarthy on Lillian Hellman, every word that comes out of his mouth is a cliche, and that includes “the,” “but,” and “and.”  Almost nothing he says is ever original, insightful or thoughtful, although he delivers his empty phrases in a professorial honk that seems to convey authority.  If you want to know what everybody else within the Beltway is thinking, Dave is your go-to guy.(Michael Walsh)

At the terminal, the couple fought in the passenger waiting area. They fought outside in the parking lot. Elizabeth was sobbing, out of control, incoherent. As their aides tried to avert their eyes, she tore off her blouse, exposing herself. “Look at me!” she wailed at John and then staggered, nearly falling to the ground.

California's Proposition 71 Failure
Five years after a budget-busting $3 billion was allocated to embryonic stem cell research, there have been no cures, no therapies and little progress. So supporters are embracing research they once opposed.

The good news on Prop 71 is that it added hundreds of millions to California's annual debt cost.

It is the gift that will keep on giving until the state admits it is bankrupt.

I'd have to give Sarah at least a B+ last night. She did good. Quick on her answers, no hesitation. I just wish she had a better speaking voice.

The girl in the picture, wearing the purple dress, strongly resembles Pina Pellicer, who played Louisa in "One Eyed Jacks".
Louisa was the step-daughter of the sheriff, played by Karl Mauldin.
The sheriff and Marlon Brando's character had, in the past, been bank robbing sidekicks.

I know this isn't related, but this stuff has already ruined the news for me, and pretty much everything else today, I can't watch ESPN without hearing about the earthquake. Sorry for the innocent loss of life, certainly...But this happens every year there. They can't have tropical storms without displacing a million people. I'm about sick of tax dollars supporting this drug peddling, child selling POS country.

Not feeling very Christian today.

Louisa was a sweet and sympathetic character in "One Eyed Jacks", and her portrayer,a great actress, Pina Pellicer's suicide at thirty years old was tragic and disheartening.

One Eyed Jacks is one of the best revenge movies you'll ever see-directed by Brando too with a ton of B actors you'll recognize. If you haven't seen it yet, I envy you.

I didn't know Pina killed herself, just saw her in an old Fugitive
