We Have Met the Enemy, and They Are ... Unions bash Democrats, warn of political fallout
Labor groups are furious with the Democrats they helped put in office — and are threatening to stay home this fall (blah-blah-blah) ... Ted Kennedy's seat voting against confirmation of  union thug Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board was just the latest blow, but the frustrations have been building for months.

What's today's  "telling blow” to the “arrogant global powers?
... a major German newspaper, the Süddeutschen Zeitung, reported on Thursday that Iran has developed an atomic bomb with the help of a scientist from the former Soviet Union.

I first encountered the word Zugzwang in a 1985 New York Times Magazine column by the late William Safire.  It’s a chess term that means “compelled to move, but imperiled by doing so.” The word’s political implications are profound.

Marvel admits to 'mistake' in controversial Captain America comic
It looks like Marvel Comics' Captain America is throwing his mighty shield at the Tea Party Movement. Warner Todd Huston wrote on his Publius forum blog that the super-powered soldier who fought the Nazis in WWII observes with disdain Americans who are seemingly compared to Tea Party Movement protesters of today:
