What the Internet Knows About You

First, I had to allow wtikay.com to run scripts to get the page to do anything at all. Then I let it do the "full history" search, and it said, "Congratulations, we did not find anything in this category in your browser history."

Of course you didn't. I have no browser history. It's set that way in the Firefox preferences. It's not really "what the internet knows about you" but "what your browser blabs about your browsing history to any site that asks".

The only reason to have a history is if you're prone to saying "What was that site I visited last week that I forgot to bookmark?" Otherwise, it's just there to tell everybody where you've been. It's like a tracking cookie, but worse.

Thanks so much Archie! I checked out the site and the first thing that popped up was WhiteHouse.gov....WTF!!!
I think I went there ONCE with a link from Michelle Malkin's.

I couldn't get to Firefox preferences quick enough...changed that sucker to"no history". Had no idea that option was even available.
