Towel Head

By your leave

Boned Jello

Who among us didn't return home from basic training, and ask at the dinner table, "pass the fu--ing potatoes please?"   This Marine would have been happy with so insignificant a slip, as Tim W tells it.

He recently came back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Having not seen his wife for several months, he was looking forward to a night of hot passionate sex with her.

Unfortunately, she came out of the shower with a towel wrapped round her head..... and he shot her!!

In my case it was peas.... My Mom still laughs about it. She didn't at the time. All of my younger brothers did however. My Dad almost choked on his dinner.

your laughter is contagious and now I'm laughing harder than the first time! What I actually did was, after arriving home, I looked out the living room window, and noticed my 1956 nosed and decked, three coats of Earl Scheib metallic blue Pontiac was parked with wheels on the curb, and white walls scuffed all to hell. "Who parked my fu__ing car!"

My (guilty) sister high-tailed it out of there, my dad raised his eyebrows, and my mom was la-la-la. God bless them all.

Now THAT is a car, Roger. As for myself, I was all of fifteen minutes off the plane back from Veet Nom when I dropped the F-bomb in the car with mom, Dad, and aunt & uncle. Looking back, it is amazing it took that long.

Oh I will have to share this one with my Dad. Way back when I came home from college over the summer. I was working with my Dad in the yard for a few hours without saying a word. He stopped and without missing a beat said "Yeah, I remembered when I would come home from being on the airship carrier. Forgot completely how to have a decent conversation." That was the 1st time I realized parents are lot smarter than I thought. :-)
