Federal funding for abortions is repugnant, but I find giving our tax dollars to these NGO's for anything repugnant.
Where the hell is any of this in our Constitution?
When my father died, I went searching for a good cause to make a donation in his name, and the more I dug, the worse it got. Whether the NGO spent 20% or 80% on overhead, almost all of them had one thing in common: the majority of their 'charitable' efforts were spent in lobbying Congress to fund their pet cause, not in actually contributing or working with the downtrodden and unfortunate they ostensibly help.
Most of this crap is makework for a bunch of Gucci clad guys having lunch with Congressmen.
Make me King for a Week and a whole bunch of those outfits are going to be paying taxes, just like any for-profit corporation.
