And on the nostalgia theme, RIP Richie Hayward, drummer, Little Feat.

While poking around looking for some more Little Feat, I came across this cover of Spanish Moon. For those who need to know, this is pure funk. For those of a certain gender and sexuality, turn off your monitor or you'll never hear the music.

Speaking of Little Feat, RIP Richie Hayward just passed away. Not a loss the magnitude of Lowell George but a great to loss to music nonetheless.

Ah, Waiting for Columbus, one of my all time favorite albums. Those songs still sound great today. What a band. I grew up in the DC area and Little Feat got a ton of play back then.

Dammit, I hadn't heard about Richie Hayward. RIP indeed. Here's a short excerpt from Bill Payne's Red Streamliner, my fav Feat tune:

Red streamliner rollin'
I wish you'd tell me 'bout the things you see
I'm lookin', lookin' down the tracks you ride
Knowin' that they're your only guide
I see them every night, is it a dream?
And when the sidewalks roll up at night
Just as stations pass by
