In 1916, Blackjack Pershing was sent down to Mexico to rid the US of Pancho Villa, who was raiding across our borders. One of his young Lieutenants by the name of George S. Patton, Jr. killed some raiders and came back across the border with them strapped to the hood of his staff car as trophies (the banditry stopped after that).
