I try to ignore the birther movement unless it inducts someone important -- a congressman, for example. The (sigh) American Patriot Foundation's announcement that Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney (ret.) has signed an affidavit supporting court martialed birther Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is actually a pretty big coup.

How wild is McInerney's statement? This wild: A Good Get for the Birthers.

I read the Lt. General Thomas McInerney story (the One Nice Deb posted on), and let it slide because I've been down this road countless times, only to be disappointed. Just now Grumpyunk :alerted me to this SLATE article; A Good Get for the Birthers. Maybe the reason it's so much on Obama's mind is that he knows this one has legs? I want closure on this thing. And gloating rights.

Think about it: They get rid of what is daily becoming an albatross on their party and then they can easily push HILLARYbeast for the next election without looking two-faced for not nominating the GoldenOne.

The other thing that must be causing ulcers for the teleprompter reader is Arizona's attempt to pass a strict vetting law.

Not one state vetted obama properly. However if Arizona passes this then he has a major problem going into 2010. Imagine the leftists trying to explain away why obama is only running in 49 states.

The other thing to keep in mind is that his birth cert may not be the main problem. It appears that he had indonesian citizenship when Stanley Dunham was married to Lolo Soetero. If he never formally renounced the indonesian citizenship, then he is not qualified as potus on that account

Anonymous said...: I don't think that the whole birth certificate issue will ever go anywhere. The issue will never be brought before a court of law, but it will never be resolved or go away, either. I think that it will be just like Mary Jo was for Teddy, or the KKK was for Bobby Byrd. Obama will have to suffer the jabs and jibes of being a Kenyan wetback for the rest of his life. Of course, he could end the whole business quite easily... or can he?

Unless you believe his father was really Frank Marshall Davis (google it) he's definitely a UK citizen (even if he's never bothered collecting a passport) and may or may not be Indonesian.
