My lovely wife was invited to a co-workers's kids birthday party, so she wanted to know what would be a good gift.

I asked: "Do you like your collegue?"

"Not really."

"Then get him some markers."

Markers are good. So are drums. I recommend both.

a house with kids will have marks and drawings on the walls and furniture.

it can't be helped!

(or if you don't like the parents, give the kids toys that make noise)

not mine - 4 kids, 3 grand-kids - no marks that I can remember

Wow!

Miracle?

Strict Disciplinarian?

Artistic Gene ended with you?

No marking implements?

I gave a young nephew a big drum for Xmas, to drive his mother (sis-in-law) crazy as much as anything. The kid's in college now, and still plays drums.

I got my nephew fireworks for his b-day. Told my sis that it was that or a drum set.

I also scored high in the uncle dept even if he didn't get to light them (this year).

My mother says my oldest sister put a small hole in the wall and then rubbed a jar of Vaseline in and around the hole to fix the boo-boo.

My sister gave my son a drum set for his 3rd birthday.
