Ruh-Roh for 'crats

So chug-chug-a-lug
In 2008 Scott Elliott's Election Projection annoyed me. Kept dashing my hopes ( to Scott's ultimate credit)  by failing to confirm upside McCain  projections from other services.   Bastid!  I will characterize EP as very cautious, meaning no wild swings.  To the extent that I detect a bias, it leans Democrat (I see bias in everything). That said, here's a few paragraphs from a  subscriber newsletter  received 30 minutes ago.

The House picture, at least in terms of which party will be the majority come January, is clearing up considerably.  Barring something crazy, the GOP will win at least the 39 seats they need to become the party in power in the House - you can take that to the bank from The Blogging Caesar.  The question in my mind now is just how many they can win.  Claims of 70 to 100 may be far-fetched, but I'd be surprised if Republicans don't eclipse the 52 seats they won in 1994.  How high the ceiling is, no one knows.  When John Dingell is in trouble in Michigan, it has to be very very high.

In the Senate, Sharron Angle, Dino Rossi and John Raese are realizing gains in the polls that put the GOP in decent shape to take the majority there as well.  I am not declaring a Senate GOP majority yet, but the odds are improving.  I'd say they are around 40% now.  That's a marked improvement from the very long odds we saw after Christine O'Donnell won the Delaware primary a few weeks ago.  With Angle moving ahead of Harry Reid this week, the projection for the Senate is deadlocked at 50-50.  And if Rossi's position in the polls out of Washington stay where the latest surveys put him, that seat could be colored red shortly.
Helping Nancy Cope
So much for Speaker Hankey's most recent  bloviation

It's hard to find the dead and non-existent voters to poll.

Speaking of how HIGH the ceiling is... get a load of the Taiwanese perspective on some of the California initiatives on the ballot. California Democrat pols may yet get the youth vote... Though I hear pot makes one lethargic.

Colonel West can take Nancy's "damn gavel," I just want to see her give up the keys to her 757.

If Boehner ever steps foot in that plane, I will personally go to Washington & kick his ass.

After 9/11, Bush wanted the Speaker to fly private since they are third in line of succession, but I don't think he ment for an entourage of family & friends to drink hundreds of thousands of dollars of liquor on our dime flying in a 757.

And we're not even mentioning the governorships the Dems are gonna lose as well...

I'm not going to fault the Speaker for this one.

The plane she flys in has to be able to stay aloft and reach a place where she can assume command authority in case the Pres and VP are killed.

This is a function of flying range and ability to mid-air refuel. A military 757 was the off the shelf replacement for flying first class on an airliner.

Blame this one on Bush's post 9/11 decision.

As for the catering .... that I will complain about. Add it to the Speakers budget, and have her justify it.

My Wife is obsessed with a single issue:
"I don't care what else happens, as long as pelosi's no longer speaker."

Replying to Kristopher:

There is a full inventory of Gulfstreams & Lears available to the Speaker & that was Bush's intent. She chooses the 757 to ferry her entourage. As a matter of fact, when an aide calls the Air Force & the 757 is not available because of National Security, (Missions to Afghanistan etc) he makes sure the lowly military guy knows the Speaker will be very upset.

Ruling Class at work.

My college roommate after I got out of the Navy is a Doctor of Horticulture at a major university & somewhere to the left of Karl Marx. (Nice guy, but totally deluded) Even he can't stand Pelosi. Says she makes his skin crawl.

Gulfstreams and Lears weren't good enough for Nancy because they didn't have the legs to fly to Commiefornia unrefueled and she didn't feel safe refueling at military bases. Hence the 757.

Which she promptly jumped in and hauled ass to Syria. Any clue as to how far up the river she sold our asses?

Stick: The learjets can't double as command posts in the event of a nukewar.

They also don't have midair refueling.

As much as it annoys me, if Pelosi has a chance of ending up with Command Authority, she needs to be kept safe while traveling.

The fact that this bimbo is so close to the top scares the bejesus out of me. She is a total loon and has the IQ of a houseplant. She is crafty and cunning and evil but, that does not make her a "leader" nor does it give the intelligence to make it work.

Hankey is a real threat to the free world and the sooner she is out of action the better. Put hankey out of action - vote for reason and get the commie minions out of Washington.

1. The Gulfstream III (C-20) was used by Dennis Hastert.
2. There is no requirement for the Speaker to have command & control at all times.
3. The Gulfstrea has 4200 mi range with eight passengers & IFR reserves.
4. She just wants the bigger plane because she is ruling class in the entitlement party.
