La Femmes Bon

Le poof 'crat

La Femme Conservatives
Last night I watched for the first time La Femme Nikita.   It was très embiggening (glayvin).  The first thing this morning, before making pecan pie,  I enrolled MoSup in the Barn Army martial arts class.  It's the sole remaining discipline she must master before earning her La Femme MoSup tee-shirt.  But wait! Just now I stumbled upon M Eratosthenes's   Liberal Men Are Wimps Who Can’t Handle a Real Woman (and instead fall back on the denial-defense mechanism of pointing that finger at conservatives).  Cosmic.

Just look at all those oinkers on "The View" for example. Ugly, illiterate, and uninformed.

Look at the fear Ann Coulter generates even amongts the country club Republicans. She is just not ugly enough.

It seems that even an "average" looking woman gives them problems especially if they have intelligence and they are the least bit off the reservation.

LFM, in three of its four incarnations, are some of my favorite action-heroine adventures:
• '90 movie, Anne Parillaud
• '93 "Point of No Return" (aka "The Assassin"), Bridget Fonda
• '97-'01 Canadian TV, Peta Wilson*
• '10 TV series, Maggie Q (so-so and revisionist)
*My favorite action-heroine

Doug, now that you mention it, I did walk in on the middle of "Point of ...," which I guess is the Bridget Fonda cover, and also an upraising experience. In fact B. Fonda has telegenic/electronic pheromones that pull me into her performances. Even the crooked teeth thing is sensual.

I have both movies and the Peta Wilson series on DVD. One big different between the movies was Nikita early assignment in the hotel. In the French version, she bugs their meal; in the American version, she blows up the entire floor of the hotel. Hollywood assumes that such an agency would not stop at any atrocity.

It amazes me that Bridget and jane hang from the same family tree.
