This reminds me of the fabulous Write-Only Memory chip. Fantastic!! Whatever you would send to the memory WOULD NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN!!

Bender from Futurama is run by a 6502 chip.
If you look at a lot of the ROMS from old video games, they ran on minimal hardware/memory. So did software back then, you squeezed as much out of as little as possible.

Hey I paid $400 to upgrade my Radio Shack Model 1 from 4k to 16k. It didn't help the load time from the audio cassette deck but it really made MS Flight Simulator 1 rock!

Ah, yes, the fabulous Signetics Write Only Memory, WOM, and its companion chip the Write Only Memory with Buffer, WOMB. I think that I have a copy of the press release Xeroxed from an original on Signetics official paper stock.

My first personally owned cmputer was a SWTP 68 soldered by yours truely. I also had a MAC Tutor.
