The Real Answer Is ..

Barn Army Commission Report
The American Worker

I'm experiencing postpartum  (election) depression following the birth of  Hope last week.  Which is to say, I'm not feeling all that much like blogging politics  But, and to continue the metaphor, a queef of such urgency has built that unless I release it my head explodes.  Embarrassment be damned.

A draft proposal to be released Wednesday by the chairmen of President Obama's bipartisan commission on reducing the federal debt calls for deep cuts in domestic and military spending starting in 2012, and an overhaul of the tax code to raise revenue. Those changes and others would erase nearly $4 trillion from projected deficits through 2020, the proposal says.

The plan would reduce Social Security benefits to most future retirees -- low-income people would get a higher benefit -- and it would subject higher levels of income to payroll taxes to ensure Social Security's solvency for at least the next 75 years.

First, as cuzzin ricky suggested at our staff meeting last night, and I quote:

"This will be the basis for the first steps towards converting Social Security into an entitlement program for the poor, funded by middle income (and above) Americans...who will realize less and less benefit."

Second, as expected their working assumption as the way out of this government caused crisis is to essentially cut military spending and raise taxes. A government solution.  Not a word addresses a fundamental problem - America's slide from a manufacturing economy to a service economy.  We don't make stuff anymore; we serve it. Selling General Motors, a primary defense contractor, to the Chicoms is exactly what we do not do.  Instead, we dance with the partner what brought us.  We unleash the American worker!

  1. Hold in abeyance all environmental law, restrictions, and other impediment to commerce for at least 10 years.
  2. "Loser Pays" tort reform - stat
  3. Remove capital gains tax to free expansion capital - stat
  4. Vow to become self sufficient, with the ability to produce 100% of our military and defense equipment internally.  100%
  5. Drill Drill Drill - stat
  6. Build Build Build - stat

*ahhhhhhh*

Actually I've been feeling a bit more optomistic. I've been enjoying watching the Old and Lazy in Congress tryig to hold onto Earmark power and their flinching when the "real" conservatives fire right back at them. I haven't been able to get a number count but it looks like it is going to be knives and eye gouging for the corrupt ones if they try to hold on to the old way of doing things.
"They can say Earmarks are not the biggest cause of Federal expendentures but they are symbolic and actual indicators of corruption. It is obvious that they are trying to hold onto Earmarks for personal gain. They aren't fooling the voters."

As a tax lawyer who does the work of the Lord battling the IRS and our Department of Revenue, I have disgust and disdain for approximately 1/3 of my profession for being little more than extortion and scam perpetrators.

I have always thought that a mandatory loser pays statute would clear the courts of garbage civil litigation and get a lot of my profession into other lines of work.

And I would make the judgments for reimbursing the prevailing party nondischargeable in bankruptcy.

Your best posts are the ones that you write yourself.

Oh, and it is the second step. The first was allowing those that aren't retirement age to collect in the first place.

And you know what, the rinos with think this is great. If they pass it there will be hell to pay. We do NOT want more socialism.

Cuts in all the social welfare programs would help, too.

SSI & SSD are supplementing many Food stamp and Temporary assistance clients. Many parents live off their childrens' SSI & SSD since these cannot be sanctioned for not participating in "employment opportunities".

Today at work we received a tractor trailer load of pipe , and fittings . The pipe was from Korea , and the fittings were from Malaysia . I sometimes drive past the ghost town at Sparrows Point , that used to be Bethlehem Steel . Our inner cities have become cancerous tumors , that are sucking the life out of our Nation . Who inhabits the inner cities , and what are their politics ? smibsid

The sad thing is that people as a mass have no memory. I remember hearing a businessman back in the 1960's talking about why he decided not to expand his businesss. He said the extra revenue would put him into a higher tax bracket and the extra work wouldn't be worth the net gain, so why bother.

1. Disband the Dept of Education. Ronald Maximus tried, someone has to succeed.
2. Disband the Dept of Energy. My theory is that just the use of GPS has saved more energy than the DoE ever has.
3. Fire half of the Dept of Agriculture.
4. Fire 75% of all school administrators.
5. Take names of everyone who stays home next time D.C. has a dusting of snow. "Nonessential employees", indeed. Fire them all.
6. There's talk of ceasing postal delivery on Saturday. Turn that around: Deliver on Saturday, and stop every other day. Screw them.
7. Flat tax, then fire 90% of the IRS.

I could go on all night. Any committee I can join?

I check my mailbox once a week. Getting my mail delivery once a week is no big deal.

Discontinue all "junk" and bulk mail. Deliver first class only. First class is the only one that pays its own way--all the other classes of mail are parasites. Let anyone else pay for UPS or private couriers to deliver their sale notices, etc. door to door.

Deliver mail once a week, lay off 75% of letter carriers.
